Carol Anderson, M.S.
Money Quotient; Portland, OR 

Carol Anderson is the founder and President of Money Quotient.  She has an M.S. in Consumer Economics & Family Resource Management and a diverse background in business, education, and financial services.  Since 1989, Carol has focused on the issues of financial planning education, retirement preparation, life planning, and productive aging.  As a researcher, writer, and consultant, Carol has worked with a broad range of companies and non-profit organizations in designing studies, conducting analyses, and compiling research reports.

In addition, Carol has written articles, developed publications, and designed educational tools, materials, and training workshops. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association, Purposeful Planning Institute, and Financial Therapy Association.  When not working, Carol enjoys spending time with her family and pets, gardening, and hiking.

 

Thomas Allison CFP®
Allison Spielman Advisors; Bellevue, WA

Thom started in financial services in 1983 and earned his CFP® designation in 1988. He started Allison Spielman Advisors in 1997. Allison Spielman Advisors have been a MQ Partner since 2009.  Before starting Allison Spielman Advisors, Thom was a founding partner at Financial Security Group in Bellevue, Washington.

His volunteer commitments have included serving as President and Chairman of the Financial Planning Association of Puget Sound, President of the Board of the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra, Chairman of Newport Covenant Church in Bellevue, and Co-­Chair of the Bellevue Art Museum Capital Campaign.  Thom enjoys traveling with his wife Lynne and their golden retriever Cuvee, golf, working out, and tinkering with his '74 Triumph TR 6 (he and Lynne are the original owners).

 

Russell Kroeger, CFP®
Paradigm Wealth Architects, LLC; San Francisco, CA

Russell is the Founder of Paradigm Wealth Architects, LLC, a Financial Planning 3.0 practice serving young professionals. He graduated with a B.S. in Finance (CFP® Track) from Virginia Tech and is pursuing an M.S. in Financial Planning and Taxation at Golden Gate University. He is also a graduate of Yeske Buie's Residency Program, was a 2016 Co-Director of NexGen for the FPA of San Francisco, and serves as the 2017 Director of Advocacy for San Francisco and as a representative of the FPA of California.

Outside of his professional roles, Russell maintains an active and healthy lifestyle, and enjoys reading and learning new things. He unplugs by relaxing in San Francisco’s parks, camping, hiking, traveling and  experiencing different cultures, and spending time with his girlfriend, friends, and family.

Jake Wagner
Wagner Communications Systems; Portland, OR

Jake Wagner is a second-generation member of the CFP® Pro community. He found his passion for financial planning at a young age through his father, the late Richard B. (Dick) Wagner, JD, CFP® and his colleagues throughout the Financial Planning Association and the Nazrudin Project.  Jake is passionate about Finology, the study of value exchange and money. This new area of study touches on economics, psychology and sociology, but is also independent of all three. He worked closely with his father throughout his career and is working with Money Quotient to establish a clear and consistent understanding of that work.
 
Besides his work on Financial Planning 3.0 and Finology, Jake is a digital marketer and coach for Certified Financial Planners® and RIAs. He has worked with online compliance for state-registered, SEC, and FINRA regulated individuals and firms since 2008. He specializes in compliant online practice management and social media marketing, and also hosts the Digital Marketing 4FP podcast.
