Invest Like A Psychopath

In a recent episode of the 50 Fires podcast, Carl Richards spoke with Jamie, a diagnosed psychopath. This very incisive episode, Invest Like a Psychopath, explores psychopathy and money. How do neuro-diverse individuals think about their money and their life? How might they make financial decisions differently than neuro-typical individuals?

I will not put myself in situations that are unsustainable” is the way I think about life. So, I’m always refusing to be in a job that I don’t like or to work for people I don’t like. And I don’t know why, but it’s worked out really well. It’s worked out absolutely great.

After a while, I wised up, and realized if I can’t force myself to do things that I don’t want, then I should just choose to do things I do want. That’s the better stable thing…In some ways, I’m grateful that I’m a psychopath because it’s forced me to make choices that are better for me. Other people do really have the choice of sitting with their golden handcuffs and living a shell of a life.
